Every child is an investment in the future of our community.
Every child helped by The Children's Foundation is part of the Guelph and Wellington community. Each dollar raised goes to helping a child in the Guelph & Wellington community.
The Children's Foundation allows the children and their families to choose the program they wish to access. The role of the Foundation is to help provide the means so that the child can take part. Children are able to go to a diverse number of programs and be in these programs with other children, many of whom do not have similar backgrounds. This fact, it is believed by The Children's Foundation, helps to further enrich the experience.
The success of our programs:
The Children’s Foundation Grants – in 2007 over 175 children accessed funds.
The Camp Fund – in 2007, a total of 429 children were provided funds.
The Future Fund Scholarships – 2007, each of the 11 high schools in Wellington County will be provided one scholarship to a graduating student.
The Promoli Family Scholarship – in 2007 one student from Wellington County in the care of Family and Children’s Services was provided a scholarship. This Scholarship is an Endowed Scholarship.
Adopt-A-Family - in 2007, over 425 were helped. This include over 950 children their parents for a total of over 1450 individuals helped.
Food & Friends – in 2007 over 10,000 children were served in the 51 school nutrition programs in Wellington and Dufferin Counties.
