Why Should I Donate?
Every child deserves a childhood
The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington believes that children’s experiences are what shape and influence their future development. Unfortunately, some children live in situations that don’t allow them to take part in school and after school activities that many of us take for granted. The reality is that the need is greater than the Foundation can meet. More children in Guelph and Wellington County need the benefits of the programs that our Foundation funds. Many groups that provide direct services to children such as Big Brothers, Big Sisters rely on the Children’s Foundation to help further enrich the lives of children in their programs.
Funding for summer camp, school and recreational enrichment programs and support for individuals going on to post-secondary education is what The Children’s Foundation provides for the children in our community. The approach of The Children’s Foundation is to allow children and their families to choose the program they wish to access. The role of The Children’s Foundation is to help provide the means so that the child can take part. This means that children are able to go to a diverse number of programs and be in these with other children, many of whom do not have similar backgrounds, which The Children’s Foundation believes helps to further enrich the experience.
