Applying For Funding

The Children’s Foundation Grants focus on providing funds to allow for educational, sports, cultural and recreational enrichment for individual children both in and out of school. Each child is referred to the Foundation by a parent, agency, organization or school. These referrals focus on the need of the child and how the funds will help to advance the educational or recreational experience of that child. Specific amounts must be requested. The funds are given directly to the organization operating the activity that the child will be taking part in.

There are 2 types of funding.

Application for Financial Assistance – appropriate for individual support for a specific program

Application for School Enrichment Programs – funding for a school-wide programs [ie a special program which will allow the school population as a whole to benefit].

The Future Fund Scholarships are offered to each high school in Guelph and Wellington County. The criteria for recipients focuses not on academic standing but rather on life achievement and goals in the face of difficult life situations. The scholarship takes into account the background of the child and the need they have to be able to move on to post-secondary education.
